The Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Produktentwicklung (WiGeP) is a competence network for the promotion of product innovations in mechanical engineering and related sectors such as the automotive industry. More than 75 professors belong to it. The network was founded in 2011 as a merger of the Berliner Kreis - Scientific Forum for Product Development - and the Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Maschinenelemente, Konstruktionstechnik und Produktentwicklung (WGMK) e.V. (Scientific Society for Machine Elements, Design Technology and Product Development).
Prof Dr Roland Lachmayer has been Managing Director of WiGeP since January 2021.
